Platinum Sponsor $250
Please join us in a new campaign to help protect the Fraser and upper Colorado Rivers, which are some of the most compromised waters in the country. Both are subjected to water diversions that can literally drain the rivers dry.
Since our inception, the Colorado River Headwaters chapter of Trout Unlimited has worked with the parties involved to fairly mitigate the adverse impacts of these diversions in an effort to conserve our fish, wildlife, and natural resources.
The Headwaters chapter’s initiatives include community outreach, youth education and activities, and acting as ambassadors for our rivers in the ongoing water diversion projects. We are active participants in implementing an “Adaptive Management” process, which aims to balance diversion interests with river health.
This process has been termed a “Learning by Doing” approach, and it includes ongoing scientific monitoring and analysis of the diversion’s effects. Our chapter also supports legal representation from national TU attorney Mely Whiting.
While all this science and representation have made significant progress toward preserving our natural water resources, the initiatives have depleted the resources of the Headwaters chapter. We are a non-profit that depends on donations and support from volunteers. Therefore, we would really appreciate your help.
The Headwaters chapter has launched our “Platinum Sponsor” campaign in hopes of generating the funding necessary to protect the Fraser and upper Colorado Rivers. We kindly ask for a tax-deductible donation of $250, which will be used exclusively for the science and representation that are critical to our success.
As a Platinum Sponsor, we would like to offer you a Save The Fraser River Bug Bilz hat, water bottle, t-shirt, and special bumper sticker. More importantly, you will be recognized among those on the front line of the fight for the future of our rivers.
To become a sponsor, please contact us via email, Facebook, stop by Winter Park Optical next to Safeway in Fraser, or just ask one of your friendly Headwaters chapter board members. For a contact list, click here.
Thank you for your support!
